Clap Dubai: The perfect combination between Japanese haute cuisine and contemporary culture
Clap Dubai, a Japanese restaurant with fine, traditional but also original cuisine, opens its doors to you in the financial district of the city of excess. Discovery!
City of all fantasies, Dubai also hosts the world's greatest restaurants in all specialties: meats, vegetarians, Italians, Lebanese... The world's greatest chefs have made this city the place of gastronomy, where all the flavors and cultures are represented.
It is in this exceptional setting that Clap Dubai opens its doors. Located at the DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre), the restaurant shows its first assets as soon as you enter the premises: indeed, a large rooftop (the largest of all DIFC) located just above Shanghai Me warmly welcomes guests to Gate Village 11, with a stunning view of the city's skyscrapers.
Once inside, we are immediately seized by the atypical decoration, starting with this chandelier composed of 2100 toys hanging in the reception area. A treadmill of toys also runs through the bar, which has a stack of books. The tables, warm and friendly, will allow you to consider meals in small committee, or for larger events. In all, three spaces are offered: the dining room, the terrace (300 seats), the lounge and finally the Ongaku bar.
Japanese cuisine, surely one of the most demanding in the world, is here sublimated by the chef, who has been able to combine authenticity and innovation in his culinary philosophy. Here, the Omakase menu is highly recommended: meaning "I leave you the choice", it invites you to give your full confidence to the chef, who will concoct a menu according to the arrivals and his desires. Alternatively, you can always opt for the culinary specialties of the house: salmon tartare with spicy miso, yellow tail sashimi with tosazu vinaigrette or succulent gyoza of wagyu beef and foie gras.
In order to sublimate these fine and delicate dishes, the cocktail menu was developed by a team of experts with many Japanese influences (green tea, wasabi or black sesame). In addition, many champagnes and wines are also available to offer you an out-of-the-ordinary experience. Finally, a brunch package is in the works, scheduled for launch in January 2021.
