Neverland: Michael Jackson's former property sold for $22 million

The property, a huge estate designed by the pop legend, has just been bought by Ron Burkle for nearly $22 million.

Located in California, the "Neverland" was the symbol of an era: that of the legend Michael Jackson. The vast ranch was built as a real amusement park, desired by the man who always considered himself a "big child".

The 1,100-hectare property is 65 km from Santa Barbara and has a six-bedroom main house, three guest houses, a lake with a waterfall, tennis courts, several barns and an animal shelter. Having become inseparable from the star, Neverland was also the scene of the singer's various court cases.

Estimated at $100 million, its selling price was lowered last year to $31 million by its current owner Thomas Barrack Jr.'s Colony. Finally, it was the American billionaire Ron Burkle, former advisor to Michael Jackson, who became the new owner of this legendary place for a price of around 22 million dollars (about 18 million euros).
