BRAND STORY
The famous French luxury house that is known for its haute couture, clothing, perfume, and cosmetics was established by French designer Hubert de Givenchy in 1952. At 17, he apprenticed at a couture house. He started under Jacques Fath alongside his studies at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, the French National School of Fine Art. Proceeding, he worked for Robert Piguet in 1946, Lucien Lelong in 1947 for a short while, and Elsa Schiaparelli afterwards. Eventually Givenchy was proclaimed as the Artistic Director of the Schiaparelli boutique the Place Vendôme.
