BRAND STORY
The fashion house was founded by Jeanne Lanvin in 1889 originally as a millinery boutique. When she had her daughter, Lanvin started making garments for her, failing to anticipate the women that admired her clothing. Because of the demand, she eventually designed ready-to-wear womenswear and couture.

The Lanvin ateliers are experts in both the bespoke and the ready-to-wear. They meticulously choose the fabrics, patterns, and which cuts to use in a piece. Master tailors and shirtmakers from the atelier make it their mission to execute a sketch as accurately as possible.
